Family Fun Saturday

We've had a busy week around here. But, we've gotten lots done and we ended it with a really fun activity this afternoon.

The resident Daddy decided that it would be really fun to go shoot some rockets, since it had finally warmed up enough to stand outside for long periods of time and because the sun was shining and the wind wasn't too strong. It turns out that the wind was stronger than we thought, but that just meant the rockets didn't go as high...and that we could actually see where they all landed, so we didn't lose any!

The boys had a ton of fun watching the rockets fly! Jellybean even got brave and volunteered to push the button and fire the last couple. Peanut was a little nervous at first, but after seeing them go up, he was pretty enthused about the idea. Right now both of the boys are building "rockets" out of legos - they are already preparing for their next launches! I guess resident Daddy's idea was a hit!

Our new family portrait. The boys loved watching their shadows as they played in the snow!
